I had no idea that Datura came in anything but white. I kept looking and looking, wondering if I was really seeing this, and I finally decided that I am. How unusual.
Is it? And, you mean 100% white? The flowers on this are perfectly white except for the gorgeous eggplant purple innards. The shadows on the first photo, taken in the early morning, cast some colour I think.
I collected a seed pod from a datura I passed on a walk two summers ago – unknown variety. Started a bunch last year (so easy!) and grew a few in a pot – very disappointed. But I also for some reason discarded a bunch of seeds in my strawberry/herb bed and one survived the winter to germinate this year.

Yes, the ones I’ve seen are completely white, although I’ve seen them only as natives and not in gardens.
