I’m joining Cathy at Words and Herbs as she brightens the first week of December with photos of flowers that bloomed in our gardens this past year. For day three, I’ve chosen these shots of garlic chives – Allium tuberosum – because they’re edible, they’re incredibly easy to grow, pollinators love them and they bring dollops of cool white to the hot August landscape.
Great shots Chris, and inspiration for the herb garden next year! Thanks for sharing!

August in the garden! The bees really do love Alliums. 🙂

Interesting, too, how different pollinators like different Alliums!
