A Week of Flowers -Day Four

My, oh my – the first seven days of December of this year…what a mish mash of weather here in south eastern Ontario, Canada. Rain. Snow. A bit of sun. Cold. Warmish. Windy… Cathy at Words and Herbs sure got it right when she invited gardeners to post flower pictures each day for the first week of this month. Colourful memories of the growing season are the perfect antidote to this gloomy weather!

My contribution today are blooms from mid May – Leucojum aestivum ‘Gravetye Giant’ – often called a summer snowflake. They look great in a patch by themselves, but I love them in combination with other spring bloomers, such as the daffodils, above, and dwarf Iris, below. Have a great Saturday, everyone!
