  1. That second image is quadrupally gorgeous! Here’s an idle thought: does anyone use chains on tires any more? They were standard when I was a kid, but perhaps good snow tires have made them mostly unnecessary. In any event, I’d be more than happy to make a journey to that spot on the shore.

    1. Thanks you!! And yes, chains are still used, but generally in the B.C. and Alberta mountains (in Canada) and in the much more northern areas. Snow Tires are The Law in Quebec, but not Ontario. And the past few years there was not much snow in Southern Ontario; this year, a lot of people were caught by surprise and wish they had put their snow tires on.
